Post-Tensioned Curved Beams

This research project looks at facilitating post-tensioning in curved beam types. The main challenge in applying post-tensioning to curved beams is an increased risk of buckling. This issue is addressed through variations in the geometry of each component in the system. Additionally the project attempts to develop a visual rule language for the design of curved post-tensioned beams.
