This project proposes an addition to a half-completed mixed use building constructed in the 1960's in Beer Sheva, Israel. The original concrete cast-in-place building, designed by architect Ram Karmi, hosts a public 'indoor commercial street' and upper levels designated for housing. The proposed addition aims to preserve the unique features of the original building, while extending it to connect to an adjacent university campus, a new urban park, and a future light rail system.
